About Annaliese

Kia ora, my name is Annaliese and I’m passionate about helping people transform their lives.

I grew up in rural New Zealand on a crop farm and moved to Te Whanganui-a-Tara for university where I studied a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminology, Political Science and Anthropology. I’ve always been interested in human behaviour, how we organise ourselves and the different systems that support culture and society.

I entered the public service in my early 20s and have spent most of my time since working to improve the experience for victims/survivors in the justice system.

Life was ticking along, but in 2022 I ruptured my ACL during a netball game which led to a two-year recovery of having to learn to walk, run and exist again. This was a turning point for me as I had a lot of time to contemplate my life and what I wanted. I realised I was living for others, people-pleasing and had no idea what I liked, wanted or needed.

This led to a journey of traditional talk therapy, attending a retreat at Aro Ha and ultimately working with a coach who utilised Neuro-Linguistic Programming - Timeline Therapy (NLP). I had some pretty big breakthroughs that I hadn’t experienced with other modalities and loved how this technique worked with what is stored within our body. I didn’t have the intention to become a coach but after doing a values exercise, I realised this would be a perfect fit.

Being able to do this work and share the power of what is possible when you tap into your body/unconscious mind is a great privilege, so thank you for sharing and trusting me to work with you x
